Background

As the investment in executive coaching increases, so too does the need to ensure quality in the services being provided. Executive coaches – both internal and external – require ongoing professional development and support to ensure that the coaching service provided is of a high standard, is ethical, accountable, achieves its desired outcomes and is embedded in organisational values and practices.

What is Coaching Supervision?

Coaching supervision is a systematic, formal process for the ongoing development of an executive coach. It addresses the professional, personal, relational and contextual issues that can arise from coaching practice.

It is a series of structured conversations that occur either in one-to-one sessions or in a small group setting led by a qualified senior executive coach.

These conversations provide a time and space to reflect on one’s work and to gain constructive feedback. The purpose of that reflection is to share success, to make greater sense of difficult and complex work situations and to gain more clarity going forward.

Why Synergy Coaching Group?

We have been providing ongoing, regular coaching supervision to coaches for eight years. We have extensive experience both in executive coaching and group facilitation. Having started up and successfully managed three separate small businesses over 18 years, we have first hand knowledge of the challenges and potential pitfalls of starting a new venture, transitioning from one career to another and developing a strong client base.

  • Ensuring the emotional safety and wellbeing of both coach and coachee
  • Ensuring ethical practice
  • Reducing the sense of isolation for sole practitioners

Who needs Coaching Supervision?

Our Approach

Coaching supervision is provided one on one or in small groups (maximum 8 people). Group sessions (1.5 hours) are held monthly in the Sydney CBD, covering 10 sessions over a 12 month period.

From experience we know that experienced and less experienced coaches have differing coaching supervision needs. We therefore provide separate groups for experienced and less experienced coaches.
